Candidates release "best places to kiss in California"
Romantic Republicans?
WAIKIKI -- California governor want-to-be's are not about to be
outflanked by the disclosure of Cybill Shepherd that California governor
Gray Davis was a decidedly "good kisser" during a make-out
session on a local beach some decades ago.
In a rare move of cooperation, candidates who are
campaigning to replace Davis, should he be recalled in October, are rushing
to publish their own travel guide to romantic California destinations.
Travel Fox has learned that the guide, Kiss Gray Goodbye, will for the most part include
many of the well-known romantic spots in California (e.g., Lovers' Cove
on Catalina Island, the pier in Santa Barbara, the Golden Gate Bridge,
the Avenue of the Giants in Humboldt Redwoods State Park, and the North
Shore of Lake Tahoe).

In addition to these mainstream locations, however, the guide will include the
favorite romantic settings of nearly all 135 candidates. It is hoped that the publication will help soften
and bolster the images that many of
candidates have as merely political, opportunistic stick-figures.
Here's a sampling: Gary Coleman discloses that his favorite place to
neck is in a video arcade in Santa Monica, while
Larry Flint is partial to the back seats of Chevys in Cincinnati.
Arianna Huffington says you can't beat a kiss in the
Acropolis under moonlight, and the Kennedy compound in
Hyannisport is Arnold Schwarzenegger's preferred amorous setting.
The guide will retail for $12.95 and is scheduled to be published by
Labor Day, the traditional end of the summer travel season.
